His popular speeches entertain government and commercial audiences on three continents.
Gregory Garcia
Gregory (Greg) T. Garcia is President of Garcia Strategies, LLC, a strategic business and government affairs advisory services firm founded in January 2009, representing large and small companies contributing to the national cyber security mission.
Garcia serves on several corporate advisory boards, including:
- Triumfant - a Rockville, Maryland-based vulnerability discovery, analysis and remediation company;
- Finjan Corporation - a San Jose, California -based secure web gateway solutions company; and
- Wurldtech Security Technologies, a Vancouver-based control systems security testing and certification company
Greg also serves as a Managing Director of Pierce Capital Partners, a privately held investment banking firm providing international services in acquisitions, joint ventures, and project financing throughout the US and abroad.
Finally, Garcia has joined Idaho State University, one of only 94 Centers for Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education designated by the National Security Agency, as Affiliate Research Professor of Information Assurance Policy and Strategy.
Greg Garcia was the nation's first Presidentially-appointed Assistant Secretary for Cyber Security and Communications (CS&C) for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, from 2006-2008. Garcia led the strategic direction of CS&C, overseeing a $500 million budget for the National Cyber Security Division, the Office of Emergency Communications and the National Communications System.
During Garcia's tenure, DHS affirmed the urgency of cyber security across the nation and embarked on a comprehensive cyber initiative that will measurably strengthen the security of our nation's networks against domestic and international threats.
He established the Office of Emergency Communications, which collaborated with stakeholders across the country to develop a first-ever National Emergency Communications Plan and 56 state and territory plans to drive interoperable emergency communications for our federal, state and local first responders.
His organization enhanced the availability, resiliency and priority service of communications for national security and emergency preparedness needs, and in disaster-stricken areas such as the Gulf States in the aftermath of Hurricanes Ike and Gustav in 2008.
Finally, he worked to integrate the Nation's overall cyber and communications security strategy to align with the evolving architecture and risk profile of our national information infrastructure.

Brian T. Contos
CISSP - Chief Security Strategist, ImpervaMr. Contos has over fourteen-years of real-world security engineering and management expertise developed in some of the most sensitive and mission-critical environments in the world. As the chief security strategist for Imperva he advises government organizations, F1000s and G2000s on security strategy related to application and data security while being an evangelist for the security space. He has written two security books including Enemy at the Water Cooler - Real Life Stories of Insider Threats and Physical and Logical Security Convergence which was co-authored with the former Deputy Director of the NSA - Bill Crowell. He is an active security blogger, host of the Imperva Security Podcast, and has delivered countless speeches around the globe. He is regarded as a security expert, often quoted by the media, and has written articles for Forbes, the London Times, Computerworld, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Journal, SC Magazine and many others. Mr. Contos was formerly at ArcSight where he served as their Chief Security Officer for almost seven years, and has held management and engineering positions at Riptech, Bell Labs, Tandem Computers, and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
Tony Dodge
IT Planner & Coordinator (Ent Security), BC Transmission CorpTony has been employed at BCTC for the past three years and five years at BC Hydro. During his employment with these two organizations a large component of his responsibilities has revolved around IT security and implementing compliance measures to comply with NERC standards.
Kalvin Falconar
Senior Solution Strategist, CA Canada Co.Mr. Falconar is an information management specialist with 23-years of experience working in the technology sector. In April of 2008 he took on the responsibility of the business development and growth of the CA Security Business Unit across Western Canada. CA Security solutions include industry leading automation technology to simplify system access and improve compliance.
Prior to this role, Kalvin supported key CA clients as a Customer Solution Architect covering the energy and telecommunications sectors. Additional experience included working with Xerox Global Services, SAS, ORACLE, and SHL in Western Canada.
He is a graduate of architecture, a certified information systems security professional, a certified project manager and a lean six sigma practitioner. Located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Kalvin Falconar is married, and has two teenage children.
Doug Griffiths
MLA Battle River-Wainwright, Parliamentary Assistant to the Solicitor General and Minister of Public Security, Government of AlbertaDoug Griffiths was first elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta at the age of 29, for the constituency of Wainwright in a by-election on April 8, 2002. He was re-elected to the Legislature for a second term to represent the constituency of Battle River-Wainwright on November 22, 2004, and for a third term on March 3, 2008.
In addition to his duties as an MLA he currently serves as Parliamentary Assistant for the Department of Solicitor General and Public Security, and as a member of the Standing and Cabinet Policy Committees on Resources and Environment.

Before becoming a Member of the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Griffiths received an honors degree in philosophy and a degree in education, both from the University of Alberta. During the three years prior to his election, he taught at Byemoor School, where he was nominated every year for an award in teaching; once for the Edwin Parr Award and twice for the Pan Canadian Student Choice Award.
Mr. Griffiths currently lives in Hardisty, a small community in East Central Alberta that was the subject of the session 1 of the CBC series, The Week the Women Went. His wife Sue, and their two boys, Austin (born December, 2005) and Brady (born August, 2008) love the community, the country, and rural Alberta life.
Bjorn Gudehus
CISA, Information & Communication Technology, Senior Security Advisor, BellBased out of Calgary, Bjorn Gudehus is a Senior Security Advisor with Bell Canada, specializing in compliance and security governance along with developing Bell Canada's Control System Security practice for customers. With 15 years progressive international IT experience Bjorn has extensive experience with application development life cycle, network administration, manufacturing control systems, IT operations and Support Services. He has also provided hands-on leadership for SOx compliance, security operations and governance. He has chaired and presented at major conferences, including

Brad "Renderman" Haines
RenderMan is an Edmonton born and raised hacker and security consultant who spends way too much time figuring out ways of inserting electronics into treasured childhood toys. A frequent speaker at hacker and security cons around the world, he has also help author 2 books, RFID security and Kismet Hacking, both from Syngress. Consultant by trade, hacker by birth, black hat by fashion.
As co-refounder of the Church of Wifi and recent member of the NMRC, he spends his time helping secure his clients, adding to his expansive collection of con badges and thinking of new ways to subvert wireless networks and childhood memories.
David Hansen
Dave Hansen is Corporate Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Security Management Business Unit at CA. In this role he is charged with growing the security management business and ensuring his team is delivering the products, services and partnerships required to meet customer needs for strategic, enterprise level security.
Previously, Dave was CA's Chief Information Officer. In this role, Dave was responsible for global IT strategy, applications development and the global CA infrastructure, IT compliance and CA's international IT organization. Additionally, he oversaw the internal adoption and implementation of CA solutions based on the company's Enterprise IT Management (EITM) vision.
Dave has more than 20 years of professional experience leading IT organizations. He joined CA in 2002 and, in 2003, was named Senior Vice President, CA Technology Services for North America. In 2005, Dave was named Senior Vice President for Worldwide Presales and created technology teams focused on security, storage and infrastructure management.
Prior to joining CA, Dave led IT for the Canadian division of Bowater Inc. where he was responsible for IT infrastructure, technology acquisition and integration, and ERP implementation. Dave received a Bachelor of Science degree from Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada.
Denis C. Huot
CPP, Manager/Inspector, Alberta Security & Strategic Intelligence Support Team (ASSIST), Sheriff's Branch, AB Solicitor General & Public SecurityDenis, born and raised in Saskatchewan, joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1978. He served 24 ½ years with the RCMP, in various functions, all of that time in Alberta, with the exception of a 6 month United Nations peacekeeping mission in former Yugoslavia in 1994. The last 7 years of his RCMP career involved work in the intelligence field as an organized crime investigator with the Edmonton Integrated Intelligence Unit, a joint RCMP, Edmonton Police Service unit, where his expertise was in the area of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs. Denis retired from the RCMP in July of 2002 when he assumed the operational responsibilities as Manager of the Security & Information Management Unit or 'SIM Unit' - now known as ASSIST, under the Alberta Solicitor General & Public Security. Denis currently manages the ASSIST Unit consisting of 9 staff, responsible for the delivery of the Alberta Counter Terrorism Crisis Management Plan.
Terrance Ingoldsby
President, Amenaza Technologies LimitedTerrance Ingoldsby has over a decade of experience in the security field. Since 2000 he has focused on approaches to modelling hostile threats and risks. He is the President of Amenaza Technologies and the architect of the SecurITree modelling software. He works with the defence, aerospace and intelligence communities as well as in the area of critical infrastructure. Terrance holds a BSc (Physics), a MSc (Computer Science) and is a CISSP.
Peter D. Johnston
Vice President, Critical Infrastructure Institute, & Vice President, Landsdowne Technologies Inc.Following a twenty-seven year career in the Canadian Forces as a Maritime Surface Officer, Mr. Johnston joined Lansdowne in 2002 as a Senior Consultant/Project Manager. As a Commander in the Canadian Navy, he managed the annual $2 million operating budget for a Canadian Patrol Frigate and led a crew of 220. During his appointment as Senior Strategic Change Officer, he developed a Continuous Improvement Framework that was subsequently approved as the National Defence framework. As well, he developed a new Innovative Practices Exchange, a web based best practice portal for sharing lessons learned and best practices, and managed the Strategic Change Investment Fund, a $10 million departmental fund for innovation.
With Lansdowne, Mr. Johnston has worked on numerous consulting assignments gaining knowledge and experience in Strategic Planning, Program Development and Implementation, Proposal Development, Project Planning and Management, Security Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Knowledge Management, and Integrated Logistics. He has extensive experience in the critical infrastructure protection, risk and security management. While under contract as the Project Manager for Force Protection and Security for National Defence in 2004, Mr. Johnston developed the Critical Infrastructure Plan. He was seconded to assist Public Safety Canada to as part of a team to conduct town halls across Canada where he led public and private sector groups in addressing CIP issues. In 2005, he became the Vice President of the Critical Infrastructure Institute (CII) and with his team, developed the Professional in Critical Infrastructure Protection certification. Since then, he has spearheaded numerous certification courses in Canadian and international realms including, most recently, in Colorado and Malaysia.
A graduate of Royal Military College with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Saint Mary's University with a Masters of Business Administration and Harvard Business School Knowledge Management Program, he has consistently demonstrated outstanding personal and professional attributes. Currently, Mr. Johnston is the Vice President of the Critical Infrastructure Institute and the Vice President of Lansdowne Technologies.
Constantine Karbaliotis
Information Privacy Lead, Symantec CanadaConstantine is Symantec's Information Privacy Lead. In this role, he manages the company's internal compliance, and the development and implementation of privacy programs, policies and initiatives within Symantec. Reporting to Symantec's Chief Information Security Officer, Constantine's expertise is instrumental in ensuring that Symantec maintains the strictest possible compliance with privacy legislation and standards around the world.
In his previous role as Canadian Compliance Specialist for Symantec, Constantine worked with customers to understand the challenges faced in meeting regulatory requirements in areas such as privacy, Bill 198 and SOX, litigation, and document retention.
Constantine received his law degree from Queen's University in 1984, and was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 1986. He practiced law for ten years, and has worked in IT to implement solutions relating to law and technology for thirteen years.
Peter Mackley
Senior Security Consultant, TELUS Security SolutionsPeter Mackley has been working in Information Security for more than 18 years, and as a security consultant for 10 years. He has assisted numerous organizations in achieving their security goals and compliance with industry standards. His clients have included major government agencies, large telecommunications companies, energy companies and utilities, and major financial institutions. Peter's expertise includes vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, wireless technologies, and risk management and compliance. He has previously had an article of Linux security published in Linux Pro Magazine.
Derek Manky
Derek Manky, Project Manager, Cyber Security & Threat Research, plays an essential role on Fortinet's FortiGuard Global Security Team. In this role, he provides proactive threat mitigation solutions through security research and development. Using his development experience and malware knowledge, Derek has designed and implemented security tools as well as several automation systems which ensure customer protection through robust detection, global alerts and crucial information on malware trends and methodologies.
Derek has presented at the US Department of Defense Cyber Crime Conference, in an effort to collaborate with security teams in the industry. He is a primary contributor to the company's monthly malware reports and sits on the Fortinet research review committee. He studied computer systems technology, specializing in data communications, at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Bill McGee
Senior Director, Product Development, Trend MicroBill McGee is Senior Director of Product Development at Trend Micro and came to the company through its acquisition of Third Brigade, where he was founder and VP of Products and Technology. Previously, Bill was SVP, product development at Entrust and was part of the founding team there.
Matthew Pour
Matt is a Security Solutions Architect for IBM Internet Security Solutions (ISS). Utilizing over ten years of information security experience, Matt provides subject matter expertise of ensuring security effectiveness while addressing business controls and requirements to a multitude of industries regardless of size and scope. Focusing on the Energy & Utilities and Petrochemical industry, Matt has provided expertise in addressing Critical Infrastructure protection and compliance ranging from legacy SCADA systems to emerging Smart Grid networks.
Currently, Matt is responsible for developing security infrastructure solutions to secure IBM's Smart Grid designs utilizing IBM's extensive security solutions portfolio. In addition to developing security solutions for Smart Grid design, Matt was recently named a X-Force Research and Development Field Expert.
Denny Prvu
Principal Consultant, CA Canada Co.Mr. Prvu is a Sr. Principal Security Consultant with CA Inc. Security Practice with over 15 years experience in Networking and Architecture Technologies. During the past 5 years he has focused primarily on user Web and Identity Access Management systems and their integration with applications used by today's organizations. Working with a number of firms in the public and private sector has been the focus of his career. Mr. Prvu has worked with Computer Task Forces around the world and has been part of planning and architecture boards initially for industry standards such as NFS, and X and now focusing on developing an enterprise security methodology to help mitigate risks to companies around the Identity and Access management space. As an active member of the ITAC Identity Management group Mr. Prvu has also played vital role in planning, architecture and implementation phases during deployment of Identity and Access Management technologies with large corporations as well as Government bodies in North America.
Mr. Prvu is based in Ontario but has focused on the needs and requirements of organizations in the Identity and Access Management space globally.

Chet Ratcliffe
Mr. Ratcliffe is the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for EADS North America Defense. He has over 30 years of progressive experience in engineering and operations management, to include research and development, simulation and modeling, computer network operations, advanced architecture and design, product development, cryptography, risk management, fault tolerance, and compliance. This wealth of experience encompasses commercial companies as well as Department of Defense and military organizations and runs the entire gamut from day to day operational and technical oversight to worldwide operations, strategy and planning, P&L responsibility and strategic direction. Mr. Ratcliffe has a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
Chet lives in Belleville IL with his wife, Laura. Chet and Laura have two children: Donielle (married and living in Delaware), and Justin (a graduate student at Georgia Tech studying Human Computer Interaction). Chet is an avid musician, and works way too much, but also enjoys brain surgery, space travel, taking over third world countries, playing guitar, biking, and golfing.
Antonio A. (Tony) Rucci
Program Director, Collection Management and Cyber Initiatives, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy25+ yrs of counterintelligence and security experience as a special agent serving all over the world.
- Served as the Counterintelligence Operations Officer at the White House Military office (98-04), conducting more than 900 CI interviews as part of the hiring process.
- Developed Technical Policy for the WHMO networks and critical infrastructure.
- Currently is the Program Director for Collection Management and Cyber Initiatives at ORNL, DOE.

Jim White
